Our Commitment
At the Law Office of Allison O'Brien, LLC, we work to provide clients with the information and education about their immigration options so they can make informed decisions on their immigration case. With years of experience helping clients navigate the green card process through family- and employment-based petitions, pursue humanitarian visas, apply for naturalization, and fight deportations before immigration court, we are dedicated to helping our clients pursue their immigration goals.
I earned a B.A. in Philosophy from Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne in 2011, an LL.M. from Utrecht University in 2013, and a J.D. from Indiana University in 2018. During law school, I interned at the African Court of Human and Peoples' Rights and the European Court of Human Rights. After graduation, I completed a fellowship with Asylum Access in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia working on refugee status determination appeals before UNHCR. I have also worked with the Women's League of Burma in Yangon, Burma; O.P. Jindal Global University in Sonipat, India; and International IDEA in the Hague, Netherlands.
I have practiced immigration law since January of 2022, handling a high volume of cases before USCIS, foreign consulates, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and immigration courts. I have helped clients to win asylum, withholding of removal, protection under the Convention Against Torture, cancellation of removal, and dismissal of their cases before immigration courts. I have also assisted clients in attaining lawful permanent residency, citizenship, parole, non-immigrant visas, and status through humanitarian programs.
